Worship at Loxa
We gather for worship every Sunday morning in our historic sanctuary. Our services follow a traditional Presbyterian structure — including hymns, prayer, Scripture reading, and a sermon — but our hearts and approach are very much alive and present.
While there is a familiar rhythm to our service (prelude, welcome, hymns, prayer, sermon, and blessing), we are not rigid or formal for the sake of tradition. We believe worship should be reverent, meaningful, and responsive to where God is leading us.
It is not uncommon for us to spend extended time digging deeply into a single passage of Scripture. Sometimes a message may stay rooted in one chapter for several weeks as we explore it carefully and thoughtfully. We value understanding God's Word in a way that connects to real life, not just moving quickly from topic to topic.
Our worship blends structure with openness. There is order, but there is also room — room for reflection, for silence, for prayer, and for the Spirit to guide.
Though our church building is historic, our faith is active and growing. We are not about empty ritual or "going through the motions." We are about authentic worship, genuine community, and a faith that is lived out daily.
You will find:
