We're thankful for a meaningful service today at Loxa Church.
A big thank you to Jonathan Crask for leading today's service and sharing the message, and to Ruth Ann Craig for filling in on the piano for Ms. Kay while she is off enjoying the beaches of Florida. We truly appreciate both of you and your gifts.
With Valentine's Day just behind us, we spent time reflecting on love through a responsive reading from 1 Corinthians 13. This passage reminds us that love is far more than words or emotions. It is patient, kind, humble, and enduring. It calls us to love in ways that reflect Christ, especially when it is difficult, inconvenient, or unseen. We were reminded that faith and hope matter deeply, but love is what gives them life and meaning in how we treat one another each day.
Jonathan then led us into the sermon from Genesis 15:1, focusing on trusting the Lord, especially when fear or uncertainty creeps in. We were reminded that God is our shield, our hope, and the One who calls us to trust Him fully, even when the path ahead is unclear.
That message was beautifully reinforced with 2 Timothy 1:9, pointing us back to the truth that we are saved and called by God's purpose and grace, not by our own strength or accomplishments.
If you're looking for a place to worship, reflect, and grow, we invite you to join us. Loxa Church is a small, welcoming congregation where everyone is encouraged to come as they are.
Sunday Service at 10:30 AM. You're always welcome.
