Today at Loxa Church we spent time in Matthew 23, looking at the Seven Woes Jesus spoke to the scribes and Pharisees. These verses are heavy, but they are meant to be honest heart checks, not condemnation.
Jesus warns against outward religion without inward transformation. He calls out hypocrisy, pride, and the danger of focusing on appearances while neglecting justice, mercy, faithfulness, and love. The message isn't just for religious leaders then — it's for all of us today.
Matthew 23 reminds us that God is not impressed by how spiritual we look on the outside. What matters is a heart that truly follows Him and reflects His character in how we live and how we treat others.
May we be a church that doesn't just talk about faith, but lives it out with humility, mercy, and genuine love for God and people.
